Get Out and Shoot! – February 16
Inspired by some other photographers, I went for a walk with my camera late yesterday afternoon. The goal was to push myself to be more creative by making images that are interesting to me in what seems like a relatively boring location. I remember another photographer stating that it would be easy to walk down the street in another country and find great images everywhere, but it is really difficult to do so when you’re on your own street and everything looks familiar. I’m happy with what I came up with. What do you think?

You’re right – it is so difficult to look at our everyday surroundings with a creative/new perspective. I love what you’ve done – especially the Wal-Mart carts!

I have to say that, you have captured the neighborhood quite well… the liberty tax photo is surrealistic.

What a super exercise in “seeing”. I think I will try doing this myself. Funny how once you begin to photograph for a living you forget to just do it for fun and exploration… thanks for the inspiration!

There is something about the shopping cart photo that I really enjoyed. I love this idea, I may have to partake in it as well (just not today because it is freezing outside!)
