Calista’s First Birthday
You may remember the hand-colored photograph of the little girl on the front page of my website, or the photos of her in a previous blog post. Her name is Calista, and she just turned one. Her mom and dad are friends of ours, and we (all six of us) got to head over for a fun party!
As Cookie Monster would say, “Yum, me love cuppycakes!”

Calista’s grandma tried to teach her to blow out her candle:

Yeah, Calista loves cuppycakes too!

On the way out of the neighborhood, Kefir played with me in the car…

…but his brother didn’t have quite as much energy!

Regarding the “cuppycakes,” I overheard how they made the flowers and butterflies: you cut marshmallows in half and then sprinkle them with the colored sugar crystals. They were adorable and yummy!
